Elizabeth Stone MA, LP, LCAT ATR-BC, maintains a private practice in Grenoble, France, as an art therapist and psychoanalyst for which she is licensed and board-certified in New York State, US. She has been training and supervising art therapists in Europe and the US for more than forty years. A former faculty member of New York University’s Graduate Art Therapy Program, she did her post-graduate training at the New York School for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy. Currently, she chairs EFAT’s Ethics Committee (European Federation of Art Therapy) and was a past chair of the American Art Therapy Association’s Ethics Committee, as well as a founding member of EFAT and APIART. She began as a painter, and currently lectures and publishes widely on creative expression’s many facets in the art therapy experience from a modern psychoanalytic point of view.
