Peggy Hackney is internationally known for her work in Laban/Bartenieff Movement Analysis. Her book, “Making Connections: Total Body Integration through Bartenieff Fundamentals,” is used worldwide in the training of Dancers and Dance-Movement Therapists. Peggy assisted Irmgard Bartenieff for 15 years, and is now in her 60th year of LMA/BF work. She has taught in New York City, Hong-Kong, Sydney, Melbourne, Edinburgh, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Paris, Rome, Florence, and of course Bologna. Peggy toured the USA performing as a professional dancer in the Bill Evans Dance Company and recently retired from teaching Dance, Somatics, and Choreography at the University of California at Berkeley. It was a pleasure to work with ATI from 1993-2019, Peggy is happy to be back in Bologna for this conference to honor and celebrate ATI for it 40 years of excellent service to the profession of Dance-Movement Therapy!
